Those filthy little bastards
wouldn’t let me go. I moulded
them with layer on layer
of thick, sticky paint.
At the start of each day I was near
to vomiting. By lunchtime
pining for a drink. After I set
the brushes aside my lover
opened the wine. He and I
with our Bacchanalia to
deaden the end of each day.
In misery, self-loathing and disgust
I completed my obsessive task.
I at last became a painter,
though I lost enthusiasm
when I decided the Three Figures
were completed. There was nothing
in me left for the cross.
Three Figures, then, without a Crucifixion.
A trio of faceless hominids
without a prayer.

The Drive
Sitting here in this pointless office, I wander in my mind to different places, different times, different worlds. Somehow it feels like the world is trying to erase my ambition, creativity and ability to touch other people. I dont know what to do with myself anymore, it is frustrating to not think that you are a machine, typing and pressing gray buttons to the rhythm of the ticking clock.
Some low whispered empty conversations, annoying mechanical phone rings, the night is falling down so fast you cant even see it coming. The windows are so dark you cannot feel the real difference between day and night, its all the same he

Farmers' Market
At daybreak, we make our aching bodies rise,
caffeinate, survey the still pink-patched sky,
pray for a dry day. Once loaded, we truck
bushels of produce, potted plants, sawhorse
and board tables, stabilize crates of pie
between bins and strawberry boxes, drive
down the mountain, into town and set up
the fruits of our labors, hoping neighbors
and weekenders alike will buy, eyeing
vendors wares, wishing there was cash to spare.
Down-street, a bow begins to sweep the strings
softly, bringing bed-headed children out
to watch the band set up. An old pup roves
over to the barbeque cart, gambols
off when the butcher

I'm overjoyed to have been chosen!!
I shortened the picture's title so that it would fit the title box. Bacon called it Three Studies For Figures At The Base Of A Crucifixion

I understand a little more than half of the meaning of English but it is enough to guess the heavy atmosphere that you've re-created around these three people (that I know well enough)...I feel the despair, anguish and loneliness that surrounds the scene. I see dark gray, a gray very cold ...a few verses that recall the time when Bacon grew up, the end of World War II, a period where it was difficult, very difficult to believe in the existence of jesus christ... Excellent Alec, excellent ...I also try to reinterpret the Bacon's famous painting with my ink. Thank you
