Need we postulate a mind that plots
the drifting of the continents, the shifts
of grinding plates of rock, a mind that orchestrates
the massive shocks, a mind constantly aware
of the myriad of deaths and copulations?
Can we imagine an unclaimed land
where opportunities lost are found,
where mighty herds of unrealised possibilities
abound,trekking across immaterial plains,
harried and haunted by ravening packs
of grim necessity?
